28 May 2025 – A team 24-members strong departed today for the Icelandic Glaciology Society’s annual spring field trip to Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest ice cap. Four members of this team are in the ICELINK consortium, including: Eyjólfur Magnússon, scientist at the University of Iceland; Hrafnhildur Hannesdóttir, scientist from the Icelandic Met Office; Kieran Andrew Baxter, visual communication specialist from the University of Iceland; and Konstantine Vlasis, student in the NYU graduate music program interested in musical composition using glaciers sounds.
