A team 24-members strong departed Reykjavik today for the Icelandic Glaciology Society’s annual spring field trip to Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest ice cap. Four members of this team are in the ICELINK consortium, including: Eyjólfur Magnússon, scientist at the University of Iceland; Hrafnhildur Hannesdóttir, scientist from the Icelandic Met Office; Kieran Andrew Baxter, visual communication specialist from the University of Iceland; and Konstantine Vlasis, student in the NYU graduate music program interested in musical composition using glaciers sounds.
